现在进行时由“助动词be (am/is/are) + 动词的现在分词 (V-ing)”构成。助动词be随主语的人称和数而变化。

一、肯定句形式
主语 + am/is/are + V-ing + (宾语/状语).
I am reading a book now.
He/She/It is raining outside.
We/You/They are watching TV.

二、否定句形式
主语 + am/is/are + not + V-ing + (宾语/状语).
I am not (I'm not) joking.
She is not (isn't) sleeping.
The children are not (aren't) playing.

三、疑问句形式
1. 一般疑问句：将助动词be提至句首。
Am/Is/Are + 主语 + V-ing + (宾语/状语)?
- Are you listening to me?
- Is the baby crying?
- Are they coming to the party?
回答：Yes, 主语 + am/is/are. / No, 主语 + am/is/are + not.
2. 特殊疑问句：特殊疑问词 + 一般疑问句语序？
- What are you doing? (本课核心句型)
- Where is she going?
- Who are they waiting for?

现在分词 (V-ing) 的构成规则
1. 一般情况下，动词后直接加 -ing。 do → doing, look → looking, play → playing, read → reading
2. 以不发音的字母e结尾，去e加 -ing。 make → making, write → writing, have → having, shine → shining (本课)
3. 以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母，双写该辅音字母再加 -ing。 run → running, swim → swimming, sit → sitting, put → putting
4. 以ie结尾，变ie为y再加 -ing。 die → dying, lie → lying, tie → tying

与一般现在时的对比分析
- 一般现在时：表示经常性、习惯性的动作或普遍真理。常与 often, always, every day 等连用。它描述的是“常态”。
例句：He walks to school every day. (他每天步行上学。)
- 现在进行时：表示说话时或现阶段正在进行的动作。它描述的是“此刻的动态”。
例句：He is walking to school now. (他现在正在步行去上学。)
注意：有些表示状态、感觉或情感的动词通常不用进行时，如 like, love, know, want, need, see, hear 等。这些动词用一般现在时即可表示当前状态。
