Treasure Library Books:
Our Shared Responsibility
Last week, when I borrowed a popular science book, I was disappointed to find nearly every page covered with aggressive underlines and messy annotations.
Apparently, some students treat public books as personal notebooks, marking sentences with ballpoint pens and scribbling comments in margins. This behavior not only ruins the reading experience for others but also causes irreversible damage to these valuable resources.
Library books are shared treasures connecting us to knowledge. Instead of writing in them, we should use notebooks or bookmarks. Let's develop public consciousness and preserve these books for future readers.
