People often joke that no one in Los Angeles reads paper books anymore and that people read everything online. But how do you explain this? Year after year, an annual book festival in Los Angeles draws a huge crowd. Sometimes, people wait half an hour for a parking space to become available.
Supported by a newspaper, this festival takes place over a weekend every April. In recent years, the event has attracted a large number of participants of all ages, with about 150,000 people each year from southern California and other parts of the U.S. The festival serves as a platform for many famous authors to talk about their works and share their views, and each talk is followed by a question-and-answer session. People also have the opportunity to meet their favorite authors and get their books signed. In 2023, over 500 authors, poets, artists, and musicians attended the festival.
