Shanghai Australian lnternational School
Our recent school-wide inspection of lesson plans and assignments confirms the deep strength of our international programme. Teachers never copy official templates. Instead, they blend Chinese and Western approaches, align precisely with Western Australian standards, and tailor lessons to our students’ needs – making international education accessible and effective.
Unlike traditional exam-focused models, our WACE assessment system allocates 50% of the final grade to continuous work: daily assignments, unit tests, experiments, and presentations. Every piece of classwork and every draft calculation carries the same weight as final exams. For 18 years, we have never relaxed our inspections – not to tick boxes, but to protect the authenticity of this 50% and ensure fairness for every student’s university future.
Since 2008, we've excelled in Australian education. Records: 99.75 (Huang Ruimin). 95.5% to Australia's Group of Eight, 60.5% to QS top‑20 universities. Alumni also at HKU and PolyU with full scholarships. No accidents – only meticulous lesson plans, detailed marking, and precise tracking. That's how we build pathways to the world's best.
Some ask if yearly reviews are necessary. Our answer is always yes. Our inspections are not about petty fault-finding, but about perfecting every detail. No shortcuts, no haste – only steady, principled dedication to quality. That is our unshakeable foundation. ✨
